AC Hotel Victoria Suites by Marriott

👍🏻 I had a lovely stay at this hotel in Barcelona! The service was top-notch and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time. The hotel is a short 🚕 ride away from the city center, but the surrounding area is peaceful and charming. I appreciated the front desk's help in calling a cab whenever we needed one. I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Barcelona!

My recent stay was not up to par and I would suggest considering other accommodations. While the hotel does not meet the standards of a typical AC Marriott, I encountered numerous issues during my stay. The most concerning problem was a severe breach of safety and privacy. Another guest was able to enter my room, due to a front desk error with double booking. With over a thousand hotel nights under my belt throughout my career, as a frequent holder of diamond/platinum/gold status, this has never happened before. There was no reassurance that the guest had returned their key or if the new keys issued were different. This left me feeling anxious about the possibility of someone accessing my room at any given moment during my stay. Despite reaching out to management about various concerns, such as room conditions and noise, this incident was completely ignored and not addressed. To make matters worse, the resolution offered was an insignificant amount of points, without acknowledging the violation of my privacy and safety. I highly recommend exploring alternative options for your own well-being during your visit to Barcelona.

👨‍👩‍👧 We had a wonderful stay as a family and were blown away by the size of our room 🤩 It was like a mini apartment! 🏠 So clean and modern, with everything we needed. The check-in staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating when we arrived early afternoon on a Saturday. The hotel is conveniently located near the metro to the city center, and the extra travel time was totally worth the extra space for our family. 👌

This particular hotel is great for business travellers and small groups, but not necessarily ideal for tourists. It's located near the city line and within walking distance of a hop-on-hop-off tour bus, but to get to the popular tourist sites, you'll need to pay for a taxi, both there and back. While the restaurant offerings are good, breakfast is not included and housekeeping can be a bit of an issue. Upon arriving, we had to wait in the lobby for almost 6 hours before we were admitted to our room, and then the day after when we returned, they had still not serviced the room, so we had to wait an extra hour.
