The accommodations were quite outdated and did not resemble the photos on the travel website where I made my reservation. Despite being advertised as a 4-star hotel, it felt more like a 3-star. To my surprise, there were two separate city taxes to be paid, one for Barcelona and one for Catalonia, and they were charged per person. This ended up costing us 39 euros for our 4-night stay, much more than the expected 4 euros per day. The rooms were stuck in the 90s and suffered from excessive noise, only made worse by the single glazed windows. The bathroom was so cramped that there was no space to store our belongings. The walls were thin as paper, resulting in us being able to hear our neighbors' conversations, the banging of their wardrobe doors, and even the TV. And to top it off, we were rudely awoken at 4 am by the loud noises of the bin men, motorbikes, shouting people, and barking dogs, followed by what seemed like a tap-dancing performance from the guests above us. Needless to say, after a sleepless night and an early flight, we were exhausted and spent the next day wandering through Barcelona like zombies. We were hopeful that the situation would improve the following night after the trash had been collected, but unfortunately, this cycle repeated. Desperate for some peace and quiet, we requested a room change, and the staff was understanding and accommodating. However, the replacement room we were given, with a view of the road, was even worse, with a shower curtain and a window with noisy pipes behind it. We were forced to request another change, and this time the room was spacious, quiet, and even had a view of the beautiful basilica. The bathroom was also much bigger. Finally, we were able to sleep soundly, only to be disturbed once again by the guests next door and loud noises from the pool area above us. We felt cheated by our experience and realized that there were many other lovely 4-star hotels in Barcelona. My advice would be to pay a bit more for a better hotel instead of staying at this one, which is located away from the main attractions, but still quite noisy. We never tried the breakfast, as it seemed chaotic and overpriced, but instead opted for a nearby café for a fraction of the cost. The location, near the Lessops station, was convenient for using the metro, but overall, I would not recommend this hotel.
I had a great experience at the hotel. The breakfast was especially impressive. However, I was a bit disappointed to see an added charge on my reservation that was listed as "pay at the property." When I brought this up with the reception, they explained that it was just a guarantee to reserve the room for us.
I recently stayed at the 🏨 Catalonia Park Putxet 🌇 in Barcelona and overall I had a good experience 😊 The location was 👌 perfect, with plenty of attractions within walking distance 🚶♂️ The staff were friendly and helpful 👍 and the breakfast was absolutely delicious 🍴 However, my room unfortunately lacked fresh air 💨 with a small, dark window 🕶️ and a poor location within the building 🏢 The floor beneath the bed was also dirty 😕 and the bathroom could have been cleaner 🚽 The air conditioning also posed some issues 🌡️
The accommodation was situated in an unexpected location, up a slight hill in a residential neighborhood, but it was a true hidden gem! The hotel's entrance and amenities were delightful. The staff was incredibly friendly and check-in was a breeze. To our surprise, our room was available before the designated check-in time. The rooftop pool was a welcomed reprieve from the scorching weather and we also took advantage of the gym. We didn't opt for breakfast, but we did dine at the hotel for dinner two evenings and the food and service were exceptional. The kind gentleman working in the restaurant was a standout employee. Our booking was made through jet2, who stated that "most rooms have a balcony or terrace." Unfortunately, we were not assigned one and instead had a room with just a window. Although we would have appreciated a balcony, we didn't see anyone else utilizing theirs, but it may have just been our luck. If given the chance, I would suggest requesting a balcony in the special requests section. The room itself was a bit dated, with peeling wallpaper, but the bathroom was modern and the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable, allowing us to have a restful night's sleep. While there was a mini fridge in the room, there were no facilities for making coffee. The hotel was conveniently located with bus stops nearby and the metro just a short 5-minute walk away. I would definitely stay here again, especially if I could guarantee a balcony.
I had a wonderful experience during my trip. The room was spotless and had a large balcony. The rooftop pool had incredible city views. The staff were kind and accommodating, and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel was conveniently located near the metro, and there was a delicious Japanese restaurant called Nori sushi just a few minutes' walk away.
